Following the departure of Ricardo Moniz, FC Zurich has announced its new coach: Mitchell van der Gaag takes over in Switzerland’s largest city. The 53-year-old has previously worked as a club coach in Portugal, Cyprus, and the Netherlands, most recently with Ajax Amsterdam’s second team until 2021. The Dutchman then served as assistant coach to Erik ten Hag, first at Ajax Amsterdam and later at Manchester United. Now the former defender will continue his career as head coach in Zurich.
