When is the next UFC event in 2025?
The next and first UFC fight in 2025 will take place on Saturday, January 11 in Las Vegas (USA).
The main fight of UFC Fight Night 249 is Mackenzie Dern vs. Amanda Ribas in the women’s strawweight division.
The fight starts on Saturday (January 12) at 4:00 German time. This UFC event can be seen exclusively in the livestream on DAZN.

When is the next UFC fight in 2025?
The next UFC fight is also the first in the new year 2025!
After a break over Christmas and at the turn of the year, the first event on the UFC 2025 calendar is scheduled for January 11: The headliner is a women’s fight and is Mackenzie Dern vs. Amanda Ribas.
The two are ranked 8 (Ribas) in the strawweight division.
Mackenzie Dern last stood in the cage in August 2024, winning by decision against Loopy Godinez. Before that, however, the 30-year-old American suffered two defeats.
Amanda Ribas also has two defeats from her last three fights. However, the 31-year-old Brazilian lost her last cage appearance – in March 2024 against Rose Namajunas.
The next UFC fight, which also marks the start of the new year, is likely to be a balanced duel for both combat sports fans and bookmakers with UFC betting.
UFC Calendar 2025: When is the next title fight?
The first title fight of the new year is not long in coming. It is scheduled for January 18 on the UFC 2025 calendar.
At UFC 311 on January 18, 2025 in Inglewood near Los Angeles (USA), there will be a lightweight title fight between reigning champion Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan, who is ranked No. 1 in this division.
This clash has already taken place once before in the Octagon – in August 2019, when Makhachev won by decision of the judges. Now, almost six years later, there is a rematch – for the lightweight crown.
The starting position for the next UFC fight in 2025, where a title is at stake, should be clear: Makhachev has won 26 of his 27 MMA fights to date – 14 of them in a row.
The 31-year-old Dagestani has been the lightweight champion since October 2022 and has defended his place on the throne three times. Most recently on June 1, 2024 against Dustin Poirier.
Arman Tsarukyan has fought his way up to number 1 in the lightweight division, making him the “best of the rest” in this weight class. The 28-year-old Georgian has won four fights in a row.

UFC Fight Night 250 features the MMA thriller between Israel Adesanya and Nassourdine Imavov. The two belong to the crème de la crème in the UFC middleweight division!
Adesanya is ranked 5.
Adesanya was the ruler of the UFC middleweight division for years. The 35-year-old New Zealander of Nigerian descent lost this title to Alex Pereira in December 2022. Although he was able to regain the gold belt in the rematch, he then had to relinquish it again – to Sean Strickland in September 2023.
And Adesanya also lost the next fight – again for the middleweight crown. This time he defeated Dricus du Plessis by submission. That was in August 2024. Now “The Last Stylebender” wants to win again after two defeats in a row.
However, Nassourdine Imavov – 29-year-old Dagestani – has ended each of his last three cage appearances victoriously. If he now wins against Adesanya, he could be in line for a fight for the middleweight title…
UFC Calendar 2025: Next title fight in February
One week after the middleweight clash between Israel Adesanya and Nassourdine Imavov, another blockbuster is on the cards in this weight class – but this time it’s for gold!
At UFC 312 in Sydney (Australia) on February 9 – the weekend of Super Bowl 2025 – the two best middleweight contenders of the moment will face each other: Reigning champion Dricus du Plessis and Sean Strickland, the division’s No. 1 contender.
Du Plessis defended the title in August 2024 with a win over Israel Adesanya. Before that, the 30-year-old South African took the crown with a win over Sean Strickland. Now it’s time for the rematch at UFC 312!
Strickland is a UFC veteran – he has been fighting in the “Champions League of MMA” since 2014. However, the 33-year-old American only made it to the top in September 2023 when he defeated Adesanya to become middleweight champion.
However, he immediately had to relinquish the gold belt to Du Plessis in January 2024. After that, “Tarzan” was back in the cage – and he won against Paulo Costa in June 2024.
When is the next McGregor fight in the UFC?
After Conor McGregor broke his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, many MMA fans have been asking themselves for a long time: When is the next Conor McGregor fight?
Conor McGregor’s comeback was supposed to take place at UFC 303 in Las Vegas (USA) on June 29, 2024 against Michael Chandler.
Due to an injury, the Irishman is unable to compete. However, McGregor’s comeback will now be delayed indefinitely. It has not yet been announced when McGregor’s comeback fight against Chandler will take place. It will probably not be until 2025…
In the UFC betting odds, which were created in mid-June before the (preliminary) cancellation, McGregor was seen as the slight favorite for his comeback fight.
Yet “The Notorious” has lost his last two UFC fights. Before his fatal leg break, he also lost his first fight against Poirier in January 2021. McGregor’s last win dates back to January 2020.
Michael Chandler has a similarly mixed record. The 38-year-old American has lost three of his last four fights. His last defeat was also against Poirier – that was in November 2022
