Horst Steffen’s departure for Werder Bremen is official, and as expected, SV Elversberg must now search for a new coach. The club already has a list of possible candidates. According to information from the “Saarbrücker Zeitung,” the name Heiko Vogel is also on that list. The 49-year-old made a name for himself in Germany as a youth coach at FC Bayern Munich, and abroad he led FC Basel to a double in the 2012/13 season. FCB was also his last stop, where he served as sporting director in 2023 and also stepped in as interim coach.
