As expected, Udinese Calcio have presented former world champion captain Fabio Cannavaro as their new coach until the end of the season. A few hours earlier, the Serie A 17th-placed side had released their previous coach Gabriele Cioffi. Cannavaro brings his brother Paolo with him as assistant coach. He most recently worked for second division side Benevento Calcio until February 2023.
