The latest reports circulated that the contract of Saarbrücken’s trainer and manager in personal union Rüdiger Ziehl would expire in the summer. In an interview with kicker, the 47-year-old now made it clear: “My contract extends beyond the summer and includes both roles.” The former professional has been in office at FCS since October 2022. In the league, he has finished fifth twice with the team and is currently third in the running for promotion. In the DFB Cup, Ziehl and Saarbrücken surprisingly made it to the semi-finals in the previous season.
