What had already been hinted at on Deadline Day was made official by Tottenham shortly after midnight: the Londoners are borrowing Mathys Tel from FC Bayern Munich until the end of the season and have also secured a purchase option. Under Vincent Kompany, who took over as coach in Munich in the summer, the 19-year-old only played sporadically (eight Bundesliga games, none of which were full-time).
