When is the next darts tournament in 2025?
The next darts tournament in 2025 on TV is the International Darts Open.
The International Darts Open will take place from April 4 to 6 in Riesa (Germany). The venue is the Sachsen-Arena.
The broadcast is available on all days of the game in a livestream on DAZN.

Next darts tournament in 2025: Premier League starts February 6
When is the next PDC Dart Event in 2025? From February 6 – that’s when the Darts Premier League 2025 starts. The Premier League Darts is the most important tournament on the darts calendar after the World Championship 2025.
The same eight players (the top 4 of the PDC Order of Merit and four “wild cards”) compete against each other on a total of 17 match days in seven nations from February to May.
After 16 match days, the top 4 in the final table play for the “champion title” in the Final Four tournament (May 29 in London).
The format is as follows: Each match is played in a “best of 11 legs” format. The first to win 6 legs wins the match.
The winner on the day gets five points for the overall ranking, the losing finalist gets three and the semi-finalists get two points each for the overall ranking.
When is the next darts tournament in 2025?
The International Darts Open in Riesa is the next darts tournament in 2025 on the PDC Europe Tour. The tournament will be played from April 4 to 6 in the Sachsen-Arena.
Participants: A total of 48 players will compete. The field of participants is composed as follows:
The top 16 of the PDC Order of Merit are directly qualified for all events of the European Tour. The other participants are the 16 players of the Pro Tour Order of Merit (seeded for the second round), ten winners of a qualifier for PDC Tour Card holders, four national qualifiers, one player from the Nordic & Baltic region and one qualifier from Eastern Europe.
Mode & Format: All matches up to the quarterfinals will be played as “Best of 11 Legs”. The semi-final matches will be played in the “Best of 13 Legs” format, the final will be played in the “Best of 15 Legs” format.
The seeded players will not enter the tournament until the second round.

The next darts tournament in Germany in 2025 will take place in Munich. The German Darts Grand Prix will be held in Munich from April 19 to 21. The venue is the Zenith Arena.
Participants: A total of 48 players will take part. The field of participants is composed as follows:
The top 16 players in the world rankings are automatically eligible to play in all European Tour events. They will be joined by the 16 players from the Pro Tour Order of Merit (seeded for the second round), ten winners of a qualifier for PDC Pro Tour Card Holders, four national qualifiers, one player from the Nordic & Baltic region and one Eastern European qualifier.
Format: All matches up to and including the quarterfinals will be played as “best of 11 legs”. The semi-final matches will be played in the “best of 13 legs” format, and the final will be played in the “best of 15 legs” format.

The World Championship from December 15, 2025
The PDC Darts World Championship 2025/26 will take place from December 15, 2025 to January 3, 2026.
The venue is once again the venerable Alexandra Palace, the temple of darts – affectionately known among darts fans as Ally Pally.
A total of 96 players will take part in the World Championship, with the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit already qualified.
The top 32 of the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit and 32 winners of tournaments held worldwide, the “International Qualifiers”, among whom the three women’s starting places will again be awarded.
How many and which German players will be taking part in the 2025 World Darts Championship will also only be decided during the season. Everyone who is among the top 32 in the Order of Merit on the cut-off date is automatically qualified. Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko have the best chances of doing so.
PDC Tournaments 2025 – these are the majors:
The Masters: Since 2013, this has been the first TV tournament after the World Championship, in which 24 players (top 24 Order of Merit) take part. Since 2015, the venue has been the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes. The tournament is played in a knockout format in a best of legs game mode.
Premier League of Darts: This has been around since 2005 and is no ordinary tournament. Instead, since 2022 it has consisted of 16 individual tournaments. Points are awarded at each event. The top four after these 16 tournaments play for the title in the Final Four. Tournament duration: From February to May.
UK Open: There are no seeding lists for the UK Open (first held in 2003) – anyone can be drawn against anyone. It is comparable to the DFB Cup in soccer. A total of 128 players take part, but the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit are automatically qualified.
World Cup of Darts: The World Cup of Darts was launched in 2010 – it is the only team competition in darts. The two best players from a nation in the Order of Merit compete for their country. A special feature of this tournament is the mix of singles and doubles competitions.
World Matchplay: Has been held since 1984 and is one of the PDC’s oldest major tournaments. The venue is the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. What was special about this tournament with 32 participants: It is played until the winner has a two-leg lead at the end. However, the rule has since been relaxed.
Champions League of Darts: In the Champions League of Darts, launched in 2016 by the PDC and the BBC, the top eight players in the world rankings initially meet in a group stage (four groups of four players) and then play in a knockout format for the title.
World Grand Prix: The World Grand Prix (established in 1998) is the only major tournament played according to the unusual game mode “Double-In/Double-Out” and thus offers extra excitement. 32 players take part, the top 16 of the Order of Merit.
European Darts Championship: The European Championship has been around since 2008 and is the second and largest major tournament organized by the PDC Europe. The top 32 players on the European Tour play in the final tournament for the European Championship title.
World Series of Darts Finals: The top 4 of the PDC Order of Merit after the World Championship and four other top players are entitled to participate. At the end of the year, the best players then compete for the overall victory in the so-called World Series Finals.
Grand Slam of Darts: The Grand Slam of Darts has been held as a ranking tournament since 2007. The Grand Slam begins with a group stage (8 groups of four players each) and takes place annually in Wolverhampton.
Players Championship Finals: This tournament, which has been running since 2009, extends over almost 30 match days, spread throughout the year. The final tournament brings together the year’s top 64 players.
Darts World Championship: The crowning glory of the year or a disappointing start – depending on how you look at it, since the Darts World Championship (officially: PDC Darts World Championship) always begins in mid-December and ends in the first days of January. The tournament, which was first held in 1994, is by far the most prestigious PDC tournament.
Next PDC World Series darts tournament in 2025
Since 2013 the PDC uses the name “World Series of Darts” for a series of invitation tournaments to promote the top darts players worldwide.
At the end of the year a final tournament under the name “World Series of Darts Finals” is played.

A total of £60,000 will be played for in each tournament, with the winner taking home £20,000.
In addition, points will be awarded for each tournament for the “World Series of Darts” ranking, which will be used to determine the qualified players for the World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam.
The Darts World Series broadcast of the next darts tournament in 2023 will be shown live by the sports streaming service DAZN. Sport1 could also have the TV rights for individual tournaments.
Next Darts Tournament 2025: This is how the PDC Europe Tour works
In addition to the PDC Darts Tournaments and Majors, there are other important events on the 2025 darts calendar. These will take place as part of the PDC European Tour, among others.
The European Tour 2025 comprises a total of 14 tournaments. A total of six tournaments will be held in Germany (Göttingen, Riesa, Munich, Sindelfingen, Kiel, Leverkusen and Hildesheim).
There will also be a PDC Europe Tour tournament in Austria again. This will take place in Graz from April 25 to 27. The season finale will be played in Hildesheim in mid-October.
The PDC Europe Tour tournaments in 2025 will be shown live by the sports streaming service DAZN. Sport1 also regularly has TV rights for European events.
