Iker Muniain is hanging up his soccer boots and taking his first coaching job. The 32-year-old striker, who moved to San Lorenzo in Argentina in the summer of 2024 after 560 competitive games for Athletic Bilbao, will become coach at CD Derio. The team from Bizkaia plays in Tercera RFEF, Spain’s fifth division. “I decided a long time ago that this would be the next step I wanted to take, and it’s a very exciting challenge,” said the Bilbao icon.
