Svensson, Bo
– without a club
+ FC Copenhagen
Bo Svensson will be the new coach of FC Copenhagen with immediate effect and will train for the first time on Tuesday. Svensson was most recently in charge of 1. FC Union Berlin, but the 46-year-old had to leave the Irons in the winter of 2024/25. Previously, the Dane had coached 1. FSV Mainz 05 for a long time. Svensson succeeds Jacob Neestrup in Copenhagen, whose contract was only terminated at the weekend, and is supposed to save the traditional club from relegation. FCK had to go into the relegation round of the 3F Superliga as the reigning double winner and lost the first two games there. For Svensson, it is a return to his old stomping ground, having already laced up his boots for the current Danish double winners in his active career between 1992 and 1999.
