FC Energie Cottbus has extended the contract with attacker Erik Engelhardt beyond the 2026/27 second division season on a long-term basis, without specifying the exact term of the new working paper. “He is a player who needs a homogeneous and harmonious environment in which he can feel comfortable. We offer him this environment here with our full support,” said head coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz on the personnel matter. Engelhardt moved back to Lausitz from VfL Osnabrück in January 2025. In the past promotion season, he played all 38 games in the 3rd division and played a significant role in the promotion with his 22 goals and six assists.
