Two more games and this disappointing season in the Süper Lig will be over! It’s not a pretty picture for Besiktas fans, who will now simply focus on the upcoming cup final.
As this will take place between the last two league games, the question remains: how will the priorities be set? In my Besiktas Hatayspor betting tip, I’ll tell you why I would bet cautiously and go for the double chance 1X at under 3.5 goals!
Admittedly, the rules in Turkey seem a bit bizarre. First the penultimate matchday, then the final of the Türkiye Kupasi and then the REALLY last matchday!
Admittedly, the teams that are really at the top of the table will not even appear in the cup final. Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have dominated the league at will, the Lions will (let’s say 99.9%) take the crown for that
And Besiktas? Not only were the Black Eagles unable to keep up in the end, they were downright outplayed while trailing the leaders by 44 points. Basaksehir is three points away, Trabzonspor six, and the team is currently only fifth.
Fourth place should be the minimum for Europe, but Besiktas still have the cup final up their sleeve. So I have to get rid of the question at this point: How seriously is the club taking these last two league matchdays?
The club have won two of their last nine games, only scoring a brace three times all season. Besiktas’ offense doesn’t stand out positively either, scoring more than two goals only three times!
Of course, one is often inclined to say: at least we have another home game. Besiktas have picked up eleven more points at home, but in my eyes the Eagles are still a long way from being a force at Vodafone Park
Ten of 18 home games ended victoriously, including the last two. Have there ever been three home wins in a row in 2023/24? There have been, but that was back in the fall of last year.
Besiktas can lose 3-1 as well as celebrate a 3-2 win in the last second, and efficient defensive performances such as a 2-0 win are also possible. Twelve of the last 15 results, by the way, regardless of where they were played, fell short of 2.5 goals.
Besiktas are always missing key players, whether through injury or suspension. The list of absentees is already long, and now Jackson Mukela, Daniel Amartey and Gedson Fernandes have been added to it.
Can I at least say that Hatayspor are one of our favorite opponents? The two clubs have only played each other seven times, and with three wins, two draws and two defeats, the Eagles’ record definitely has room for improvement
At least things are looking pretty good at home with one draw and two wins, and the bookmakers also see Besiktas ahead with average odds of 1.53 to 5.50. Certainly also because the visitors are a long way down the table.
To be more precise, Hatayspor are below the bottom of the table and are at least one point off the safety margin. What is the reason for the poor season? Only eight wins, only Istanbulspor have won less often.

Hatayspor have only scored 13 times away from home and more than twice as many at home. Ten times they haven’t scored at all, so I’m flirting with the bet that the offensive zero will also stand at Vodafone Park
Besiktas can bring the trophy home in a few days, but now they have to concentrate on the Süper Lig again. That won’t be fun for the Eagles, as they are only fifth and consistently lack consistency.
Hatayspor, their opponents on Saturday, are incredibly weak away from home, scoring less than once per match on average. The visitors are also below the bottom line. That’s why I don’t think we’ll see an away win. Also because two key players, Dogukan Sinik and Faouzi Ghoulam, are suspended.
Most Besiktas games in recent weeks have featured a maximum of two goals, and there are hardly ever more than two goals anyway. Since Hatayspor don’t pose much of a threat either, my final tip is now:
