Speculation has been circulating since the end of September about a contract extension of Uwe Rösler in Bochum. The coach, who has been coaching VfL since the beginning of October 2025, is held in high esteem by Ilja Kaenzig, according to consistent media reports. The managing director emphasized that Rösler’s style simply suits the club and that a continuation of the cooperation – the 57-year-old’s contract expires next summer – is not exclusively dependent on the bare numbers. An agreement could be reached in the near future.
