Since 2022, Matthias Ginter has been playing for SC Freiburg again, for whom he made his debut in the Bundesliga in January 2012 after numerous youth teams. As the sports club announced, the 32-year-old will make further appearances and the contract has been extended. Board member Jochen Saier ennobles Ginter as a “pillar of our team”. The club did not provide any information about the new term of the new contract.
