The starting position with betting odds

In the run-up to the tournament, there are many indications that Germany will win its opening match against Poland.

In the Nations League, which served as immediate preparation for the European Championship, there were five wins and one draw: 6-0 and 4-1 against Austria, 4-0 and 2-2 against the Netherlands, and 6-1 and 4-0 against Scotland.

Poland also played a strong Nations League campaign and remained undefeated – but at a lower level. So the favorites are clear. This is also reflected in the Germany vs. Poland betting odds from Interwetten, which see the DFB team clearly ahead.

Germany’s record against Poland is also flawless: six matches, six wins. The last match was in June 2024, with a 3-1 victory.
