An era is coming to an end at RB Leipzig: After eleven years, goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi (36) is leaving the Saxon Bundesliga club and will henceforth play in La Liga for FC Villarreal, who finished third in the Spanish top flight last season and thus participated in the Champions League. Gulacsi joined the then second division club from Salzburg in the summer of 2015 and went on to celebrate great successes with the club: runners-up in 2017, Champions and Europa League participations and cup victories in 2022 and 2023. In total, the Hungarian played 362 competitive games for RB.
