Süper Lig, Monday, 02/12/2024 at 6:00 pm
Crisis – in all competitions! At Besiktas, the mood is once again in the basement, the Black Eagles can’t afford to take their time to get back into a consistent, strong phase in the Süper Lig.
On Monday, they have an away game against the second-last team in the table. It’s no wonder that the guests are in front despite the current crisis. In my Hatayspor Besiktas betting tip, I’ll tell you why I’m not expecting fireworks in offense and instead have an “under 2.5 goals” in mind.
There you are, once again, too happy too soon! Besiktas had actually got off to a great start in the Süper Lig, but the slump came in October. The nice streak of six wins and two draws is long gone.
While the action is at the front and Galatasaray in particular seems unbeatable, the Black Eagles have had to let go. The gap is now double digits, and the fans are already fearing the worst.
It was the 1-2 in the derby against Galatasaray that took the wind out of the players’ sails. This was followed by a 1-3 defeat against Kasimpasa, a 0-0 draw against Basaksehir and, most recently, a 2-4 loss against Göztepe. One point from the last four games, the confusion is huge.
Besiktas has completely given away its strong home form, and the eagles are not a force to be reckoned with away from home anyway. Then, a few days ago, there was also a 3-1 defeat at home to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League.
Besiktas has played six away games in the league this season, winning two. Most recently, there were three consecutive draws. 1-1 against Gaziantep, 2-1 against Galatasaray and 0-0 against Basaksehir, which was very thin offensively.
Does anyone remember when Besiktas swept away Galatasaray 5-0 in the Super Cup before the start of the Süper Lig? It wasn’t that long ago, but it seems like a completely different team is on the pitch now.
One that is completely insecure. New striker Ciro Immobile is also out of sorts, having not scored in the league for four games. Felix Uduokhai, who many will know from his time at Augsburg, Ernest Muci and Gabriel Paulista are also injured.
Hatayspor are also not what you would call a real favorite opponent. The Eagles have won three of the eight duels, lost two, drawn one and won one away from home.
2:2, 0:1, 1:2, 2:1, the four matches in Hatay were all very close. Speaking of close, are our German bookmakers expecting another game on Monday in which no one is really ahead?
After the 3-1 defeat to Gaziantep, they drew 1-1 with Konyaspor. It’s a mini-series, but as everyone knows, the squirrel feeds laboriously. It’s not as if Hatayspor are constantly completely out of sorts.
Two 1-0 defeats, two 3-2 wins, a 2-1 win and a 2-0 loss? The only really convincing defeat came in the 3-0 loss to Samsunspor in early fall. They have not scored five times, but have conceded a total of 11 goals.
Are the home games now slowly scoring more goals? 1:1, 0:3, 0:1, 1:1, 0:1, 3:1 – it was only in the most recent attempt that they finally managed to get the attack in the right light. As you may have guessed, I can’t report on a goal scorer at this point, of course.
It’s going to be a restless winter! While Galatasaray and Fenerbahce can be quite satisfied with their season so far, Besiktas is once again in a bad mood – the eagles are slipping further and further down the table.
There’s been a hail of defeats and goals conceded, whether in the Süper Lig or the Europa League, nothing seems to be going right. Hatayspor, their next opponents, are also not doing well.
The penultimate team has only won once, and especially offensively, it lags behind almost all other teams. That’s why I ultimately decided to favor the following over/under bet:
The 2.5 goals will not be surpassed!
