Champions League, Tuesday, 11.03.2025 at 21:00
I don’t know what the Dutch are up to, but a comeback? According to my Inter Milan Feyenoord Rotterdam betting tip, they can probably forget about that.
They may have put up a good fight in the first leg, but only very few clubs have managed to overturn such a deficit at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. The “Nerazzurri” are an absolute force at home and know exactly how to cleverly take a lead to the finish line.
So will Inter progress or will Feyenoord cause a sensation after all? I’ll take a closer look at the Champions League round of 16 second leg for you now!
You can read my Inter Milan Feyenoord Rotterdam tip to the end, but if you’re in a hurry, the following insight is enough to head straight for a trustworthy betting provider!
Watch out: Feyenoord are winless in eight away games against Italian teams in European competitions (3 draws, 5 defeats) and have never won by more than one goal difference in twelve games.
Consequently, it is clear that even if the “stadium club” were to miraculously win, it would probably not be enough to turn around a 2-0 deficit.
The bookmakers’ prediction
It’s decided – according to the bookmakers, there is nothing to be gained for the visitors at the Giuseppe Meazza! Inter go into the match with huge odds of 1.35 as favorites, while Feyenoord are rated as having virtually no chance at all at 8.00. Even a draw at 5.25 would be a surprise.
These Inter Milan Feyenoord Rotterdam odds make it clear that nobody on the markets really expects the Dutch to reach the quarter-finals.
AI prediction Inter Milan vs Feyenoord Rotterdam: ChatGPT
The Inter Milan Feyenoord Rotterdam AI prediction from ChatGPT revealed several suggestions, of which I would only recommend the one with medium risk. But first things first!
For the high risk, “Inter win with handicap -2” is suggested. However, this is simply too risky for me, even for a high-risk bet. A resounding victory for Milan is not my preferred bet
In the medium risk, the AI recommends “Inter win without conceding a goal”. This is quite likely, even if I personally expect a result like 2:1. Defensively, however, the Italians are usually well organized.
Finally, for a safe bet, the AI says “Over 2.5 goals”.
This could happen, but the odds are a tad too low for me. Inter could successfully stonewall for a long time and keep a possible 0:0 for quite a long time, which makes this scenario more risky than it seems at first glance.
Analysis: Inter Milan vs Feyenoord Rotterdam
Feyenoord face a huge challenge if they want to turn around the 0:2 from the first leg against Inter Milan. The Dutch side have been given a game off from the domestic league to prepare in the best possible way, but the statistics are clearly against them.
Although Rotterdam have been able to replenish their reserves a little, they have only won one of their 26 Champions League away games by at least a two-goal margin – a 3-1 win over Benfica around four months ago.
Inter’s defense is an almost insurmountable hurdle: Eight clean sheets from nine UCL games means a record-breaking White Vest ratio of 89%.
To make matters worse, the Italians are also unbeaten in 14 home games in the top flight (12 wins, 2 draws).
Feyenoord will therefore not only have to put an end to their poor away form, which now includes six consecutive home games without a win, but also score at least two goals against the best defense in the competition.
Coach Robin van Persie believes he can turn things around, but his team will need a historically exceptional performance to reach the quarter-finals for the first time this century.
Rating Analysis
“Under 2.5 goals” – In contrast to the AI, I would rather assume a low-scoring game here. After all, Inter Milan have scored less than three goals in each of their last five games.
The defense is stable and their approach in knockout matches also suggests a close game with few goals.
“1st goal: Martínez” at 2.00, on the other hand, I select specifically. Lautaro Martínez has already scored six goals in nine appearances this Champions League season, including one in the first leg against Feyenoord.
If anyone is going to score possibly the only goal of the game, it will be the Argentine!
Inter Milan vs Feyenoord Rotterdam odds: Is ChatGPT right after all?
A one-nil win for Inter Milan – as suggested by the AI earlier – is definitely a justified proposition – at least if you’re relying purely on the numbers.
After all, the “Nerazzurri” have won all of their last five home games in the Champions League without conceding a single goal.
Even more impressive: Inter have kept a clean sheet in their last six home games in the top flight.

By the way: The last team to go on such a defensive streak in the Champions League was Atlético Madrid in April 2015 with seven home games without conceding a goal.
And the last Italian team with such a record? Juventus Turin in December 2002 – also with seven white vests in a row.
So the statistics clearly speak in Inter’s favor – the only question is whether they can live up to this trend in the current match.
Milan rarely sees “taillights”
If you want to hear a really blatant statistic that makes a start-to-finish victory for Milan seem absolutely realistic, then hold on tight now!
Inter have been on the pitch for 875 minutes this Champions League season – and only trailed for a paltry 285 seconds.
That’s just 0.5% of the total playing time! No other team has trailed less in the Champions League this season
And as if that wasn’t impressive enough, the Nerazzurri’s record against Dutch teams also speaks for itself: they have won four of their five home games against representatives from the Netherlands in the Champions League (1U) – and Inter have kept a clean sheet in all of these victories.
Only PSV Eindhoven managed a draw in 2018/19 with a 1-1 draw in Milan.
All in all, those are pretty strong arguments for a commanding home win – perhaps even without conceding a goal!
As you can see, a Feyenoord sensation is not exactly on the Champions League horizon – at least from today’s perspective.
My Inter Milan Feyenoord Rotterdam tip:
Inter Milan continue to be a force at home and go into the second leg against Feyenoord with a strong 2-0 lead. The Dutch side, although rested after the weekend off, will find it difficult to cope with Inter’s compact defense.
The Italians have hardly conceded any goals this season and are therefore unlikely to let their chances of progressing be denied.
