Champions League, Tuesday, 01.10.2024 at 21:00
At the weekend, Xabi Alonso’s men were pressed deep into their own half of the pitch! That’s certainly not how you’re used to seeing the “Werkself” play.
Nevertheless, they managed to snatch a valuable Bundesliga point from the Bavarian capital ahead of their Champions League clash on Tuesday.
And I have written a suitable Leverkusen AC Milan tip for this upcoming German-Italian clash, which makes me optimistic.
After all, the reigning German champions should be able to get ahead much more often against Milan.
My Leverkusen AC Milan betting tip is a premiere, so to speak! The Rhinelanders and their Italian visitors have never met before in European competitions.
Of the 12 games against Serie A teams in the Champions League so far, however, Leverkusen have only won two (4 draws, 6 defeats) – and the last three games have all been lost.
The bookmaker forecast
At the weekend, the Rhinelanders were still considered the clear underdogs, but now, according to the recently published Leverkusen AC Milan odds, they are slipping back into the familiar role of favorites.
In a nutshell, the odds look something like this: A home win for Leverkusen stands at around 1.70, a draw at 4.20 and an away win for Milan will give you around 4.70 if successful.
KI prediction Leverkusen vs AC Milan: That’s what ChatGPT
The Leverkusen AC Milan AI prediction regarding a risky variant for a possible soccer bet definitely has it all.
Pinning the “Rossoneri” with results such as 3:0 or 4:1 sounds a bit risky at first.
But we already saw B04 celebrate an unexpected 4:0 victory of this magnitude against Feyenoord on the first matchday, which is why you always have to have such a scenario on your screen – especially with such great odds!
The Leverkusen AC Milan medium risk bet also sounds quite reasonable. If you assume that the Werkself will win, then least of all with a result that doesn’t suit them at all (1:0).
However, I have a problem with the Leverkusen AC Milan AI tip, which is supposed to be “safe”. I don’t want to rule out the possibility that the Italians will also score.
However, since we will most likely see one-way soccer on Tuesday, the odds of around 1.57 traded in this context are simply not high enough for me.
Analysis: Leverkusen vs AC Milan
The Leverkusen team entered the race last Bundesliga weekend with odds of around 4.50, madness!
In the end, they can count themselves lucky to have taken a point from Munich, as the record champions clearly did more for the game.
But this draw has the sweet taste of a win and so the Rhinelanders can go into the game against the Italians in high spirits.
In any case, I expect them to be much more aggressive this time. Especially as almost the entire squad is available!
Meanwhile, new Milan coach Paulo Fonseca came in for criticism early on after the Serie A start, and rightly so!
However, this now seems to be water under the bridge, as the “Rossoneri” have started the international break with three wins over Venezia (4:0), Inter (2:1) and Lecce (3:0).
Nevertheless, there was a heavy 3-1 defeat in the Premier League against Liverpool in between, which I will come back to in more detail in my Leverkusen AC Milan betting tip.
Odds analysis
The bookmakers show in their Leverkusen AC Milan odds that they are on the side of the Rhinelanders, but not to such an extent that I would lose the desire to bet on a home win.
The B04 odds of around 1.70 still contain some value! However, I would find this Leverkusen AC Milan tip much more interesting in combination with a goal from Florian Wirtz, whose ability to score is somewhat underestimated on the betting markets.
Leverkusen vs AC Milan odds: B04 with record?
Milan are definitely a tough nut to crack for Bundesliga sides, as the Italians have lost just one of their last eight games against German teams in the Champions League (3 wins, 4 draws).
However, that one defeat came in their last clash – a 3-1 loss to Dortmund, last season’s finalists, in November 2023.
On the other hand, Bayer Leverkusen have always avoided defeat in their last nine home games in major European competitions (6 wins, 3 draws).
They have never gone ten games in a row without defeat, but as we all know, we live in times when Xabi Alonso is their coach: anything is possible!
B04 could play Milan to the wall!
Milan were actually well served with the 1:3 against Liverpool. Things could now get really ugly for them in Leverkusen compared to the opening game.
Milan have already conceded 11 shots on goal against the Reds – the most they have conceded in a Champions League game since records began in 2003/04.
In fact, only Dinamo Zagreb (6.3) and Slovan Bratislava (3.8) had a higher opponent xG value than Milan with 3.1 on the first matchday of the current edition.
So once the Rhineland steamroller picks up speed, they could easily overrun the “Rossoneri”!
Do you know why we also have such a problem with the supposedly safe “Leverkusen AC Milan AI tip” I gave you earlier?
Bayer Leverkusen have already managed to keep a clean sheet in their last two Champions League outings.
What’s more, Milan’s outing is not under a good star: the Italians have only managed to actually win their first away game in one of their last seven Champions League appearances (5 draws, 1 defeat).
Who you should definitely keep an eye on on Tuesday is Florian Wirtz. The exceptional player may have been a little off against Bayern, but he regularly delivers in Europe!
In his last 26 starts for Leverkusen in European competitions, Florian Wirtz has been directly involved in 24 goals (12 goals, 12 assists).
He also became the first German player to score twice on his Champions League debut – that was two weeks ago against Feyenoord on the first matchday of this season.
My Leverkusen AC Milan tip:
Milan should reach their playing limits very quickly despite their convincing win over Lecce at the weekend.
Especially as you must not forget that many important players will be missing through injury.
That includes Bennacer, Calabria, Florenzi and Okafor, but possibly also the injured Alvaro Morata.
Leverkusen should therefore have an easy game and set the tone from the start! Accordingly, my Leverkusen Milan tip is: Half time/final score 1/1
