Jakob Lewald (27) and SV Wehen Wiesbaden have terminated their contracts prematurely, as the third-division club announced on Tuesday. The separation took place at the request of the central defender, who hopes for more playing time in the future. “With Jakob, we have found a solution that is coherent for all parties involved,” said sporting director Uwe Stöver. Lewald joined SVWW in August 2025 after two years at SV Sandhausen and has since played 13 third-division games and two games in the DFB Cup. Lewald will move to Kickers Offenbach in the Regionalliga Südwest and announced after signing his contract: “I want to radiate passion on the pitch, bring a lot of energy to the team.”
