Marcos Alonso was actually a candidate for Sevilla FC, but everything currently points to a move to league rivals Celta Vigo. According to Spanish media reports, the Galicians have reached an agreement with the defender, but still need to make a transfer to create the financial framework. The 33-year-old played for FC Barcelona last season, but has been without a club since this summer and is therefore available on a free transfer.
