In my Newcastle Wolverhampton tip, I issue a very clear warning. Because of course it has not escaped my notice that the Magpies are currently beating almost every opponent.
But the bookmakers seem to have been influenced a little too much by the optimism that currently prevails at St. James’ Park.
However, Winamax is offering you a great deal that I can definitely accept in this form. A home win in combination with a goal from the currently most in-form Premier League player in the country at a combined odds of around 2.00 is an offer that’s hard to refuse!
It’s hard to believe, but Eddie Howe has truly worked wonders at Newcastle. What many thought was impossible is now a reality: the coach has formed a real winning team out of the “Magpies”.
The upturn is clear, and with eight wins in a row at the moment – including cup appearances – Newcastle is in outstanding form. Having recently knocked Arsenal out of the EFL Cup with a clear 2-0 victory, anything is possible at the moment.
German betting sites are also growing in their confidence in Newcastle, especially against the currently struggling Wolves.
And it gets even better: in recent encounters between Newcastle and Wolverhampton, NUFC’s record has also improved significantly.
Looking at their last six Premier League games, Newcastle have won four of them – a win rate of 67%. That’s a vast improvement on their first 13 head-to-head meetings, in which they only managed two wins.
The Magpies have definitely grown stronger and gotten a grip on the Wanderers in recent years. They have become a real force at home in the meantime.
Wolves have lost their last three away games against Newcastle at the dreaded St. James Park.
In addition, they have not been able to keep a clean sheet against the Magpies in the Premier League so far – and that is now nine visits that they have made there without keeping a clean sheet.
The turnaround in favor of Newcastle is more than clear here and therefore it is difficult for me to believe in a sudden defeat of the home side on Wednesday.
In addition, the Wanderers are not exactly known for their success when it comes to away games. They have only won two of their last 16 Premier League away games.
What is also noticeable, however, is that Wolverhampton has recently finally scored fresh away goals again after seven months without a win. A 4-1 win against Fulham on matchday 12 and a 3-0 win against Leicester on matchday 17.
But such successes are not the norm – and against Newcastle, it looks more like a continuation of the general negative series this time…
So don’t be surprised if the current fifth-placed team sets the tone at home and the guests have difficulty keeping up. There is a lot to be said for a home win here.
While I have been analyzing both teams for you so far, a detailed look at what is perhaps currently the best player in the Premier League should not be missing: Alexander Isak.
The striker for the home team has scored in each of his last seven Premier League appearances and could now become only the fourth player in the history of the league to score in eight consecutive games.
If he succeeds, he will join an illustrious list of players including Jamie Vardy, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Daniel Sturridge.
So if you’re looking to place successful bets, you won’t be able to avoid Isak – he will certainly play a key role in this game.
However, even on the handy Merkur Bet app, the Swede’s goal rate is only 1.36 on average, which is far too low for me – no matter how good Isak’s current form may be.
But registering with Winamax makes sense here. Because in combination with a home win, the bookmaker has estimated a great combined odds of almost exactly 2.00, which has made me rethink in this regard.
The bookmakers’ somewhat over-optimistic assessment of the home side’s chances of success is reflected not only in Isak’s low goal-scoring rate, but also in the general Newcastle Wolverhampton odds.
Consequently, my enthusiasm for a football bet on this game that is both as successful as possible and should yield a lot of profit is limited.
The Magpies should be able to get the win, but don’t expect a comfortable victory on Wednesday.
: Newcastle are in outstanding form. I wouldn’t have thought it possible that Eddie Howie would actually manage to ensure sustained success at St. James Park.
I am now even convinced that NUFC will also be victorious against Wolverhampton! However, don’t expect the thrashing that the bookmakers are predicting for the “Wolves” according to their current Newcastle Wolverhampton odds.
In the end, the home side will probably win by a scoreline such as 2-0 or 3-1, with the most likely outcome being that the currently most dangerous striker in the Premier League will be directly involved.
My Newcastle Wolverhampton tip: Win NUFC & Isak scores.
