NHL 2024/25 Regular Season, game on Friday, 13.06.2025, 02:00
A good sports betting bonus fits my Panthers Oilers prediction like a glove.
Because, as in Game 3, I’m not straying from the Floridians’ side in Game 4 either – my confidence that they will continue to be on the winning side is too great …
Florida swept Edmonton out of their own arena with a 6-1 victory in a game that was less like a Stanley Cup final and more like a lesson.
From the very first minute, the Panthers showed who was boss. Marchand made it 1-0 after 56 seconds, and from then on it was a demonstration of power.
Sam Bennett, Ekblad, Reinhart, Rodrigues, Verhaeghe – everyone delivered. This wasn’t just a win, it was a statement. And it’s exactly this momentum that the Panthers are taking with them now.
Game 4? This is their stage. The Oilers look like a team that’s on its last legs.
What’s particularly impressive is that Florida is playing like a champion. Calm, disciplined, ice cold. The team takes the Oilers’ emotions, turns them around, and uses every outburst of anger to its own advantage.
Edmonton has racked up 85 penalty minutes. Eleven power plays for Florida. That alone is insane.
But what’s even worse is that the Oilers have no plan B. They are overwhelmed defensively, Skinner had to leave the ice again, and Pickard conceded another goal.
Draisaitl? Not a single shot in the entire game. The guy who is supposed to carry Edmonton on his shoulders has been completely absent lately.
When you look at how the Panthers are playing right now, they just look ready. Like a team that knows what it wants and doesn’t get nervous.
Bobrovsky is in form, the defense is solid, and up front, it often takes just a spark to set the fire alight. The Panthers don’t need 40 shots, they score six goals from 25 attempts. Everything is running like clockwork.
And Edmonton? The Canadians aren’t just losing games, they’re losing control. That’s extremely dangerous in a Cup final.
Especially when you’re playing against a team whose strengths lie precisely in control, patience, and composure. And let’s be honest – what happened in Game 3 will leave its mark.
No coach in the world can get that out of their heads in two days. There’s uncertainty, there’s frustration – and Florida will capitalize on that.
The argument that Edmonton has won its last nine Game 4s is nice. But those are just numbers – the series is being played in the here and now. And right now, Florida has everything going for it.
Home advantage, confidence, discipline, a functioning power play, an outstanding goalie – the whole package.
The Oilers theoretically have the offensive potential to turn a game like this around, but that won’t happen if Draisaitl, McDavid and Co. continue to drag themselves through and take out their frustration on the boards.
Florida is playing exactly the game that works in the playoffs. Tough, dirty, clever. And the guys aren’t taking any prisoners.
For a successful Panthers Oilers tip, I would shamelessly use the Bet365 app and go with roughly the same recommendations I gave you in Game 3.
True to the motto “Never change a winning team,” I would therefore recommend the options “Panthers to win” and “Florida over 3.5 goals” at average odds of 2.07 and 2.02 respectively.
The option “Over 5.5 goals” could also be interesting, as I expect a little more resistance from Edmonton after their drubbing in Game 3.
My recommendation: Florida Panthers to win in regular time. The Panthers opened the door in Game 3 – now they’re going through it.
Edmonton is visibly shaken, defensively porous and completely overwhelmed in terms of discipline. Florida has the knife to the throat – and Game 4 will be the cut that decides the series.
My Panthers Oilers tip: FLO win & Bennett scores a goal.
