Paulinho is ending his career in professional soccer, the now 36-year-old Brazilian announced in a video on his Instagram channel on Sunday. The former midfielder last played for Corinthians in his native Brazil. After his one-year stint at FC Barcelona in the 2017/18 season, he played for Guangzhou FC in China and Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia. In Brazil’s 7-1 defeat to Germany at the 2014 World Cup, Paulinho was on the pitch for the entire second half after coming on for Fernandinho at the break.
