RB Leipzig – Werder Bremen betting tip, prediction & odds 11.05.2024

RB Leipzig – Bremen betting tip

The Bundesliga is entering the home straight. RB Leipzig and Werder Bremen face each other on the penultimate matchday.

For different reasons, both clubs are aiming for three points at the weekend. On the one hand, we have the Messestadt side.

RBL want to secure fourth place in the last home game of the season to finish ahead of Borussia Dortmund for prestige reasons alone

The visitors, meanwhile, are still in a good position to play internationally next year after their 2:2 draw the previous week.

Although eighth place could be enough for that, they would now need a win in Saxony to keep their hopes alive.

Due to the home advantage, however, my RB Leipzig Bremen betting tip does not assume a northern German soccer festival and instead bets on a home win for the Saxons!

The forecast of the betting providers?

While top betting providers such as Sunmaker are clearly predicting a home win for the Red Bulls in the RB Leipzig Werder Bremen betting tip, it won’t be a walk in the park.

The odds for the “both teams meet” bets are also relatively low at around 1.50, so Bremen’s resistance must be expected.

At the same time, the prospects of the Hanseatic city winning a point or more are quite slim. The double chance odds for SVW are well over 3.00.

Analysis: RB Leipzig vs Werder Bremen

However, judging by their current form, the visitors can certainly count themselves as slight underdogs.

After all, of their last five games, the visitors have only lost the one against Bayer 04 Leverkusen (2S, 2U). And things didn’t look too bad in the first half either.

If it hadn’t been for that controversial penalty for Gladbach in the final minute at the weekend, we’d be talking about three Werder wins in a row anyway

The Saxons also conceded a late equalizer last Friday. If it hadn’t been for Kramaric, we’d be talking about five wins in a row!

But even so, the Messestadt side’s record is excellent: they have only suffered one defeat in their last 13 games (9S, 3U).

Quota analysis

RBL’s offense has been particularly impressive of late. However, that doesn’t just apply to one half, but both.

In six of the last seven Bundesliga home games, they have scored at least once in both halves. Will it be the same this time?

You can find odds of 1.60 for this scenario in the Betway sports betting app.

The visitors, on the other hand, are more likely to be late scorers. They have scored six of their last eight league goals after the break.

So that could be an option: A game with goals on both sides in the second half. The bookmaker Betano is offering odds of around 2.40.

Does Werder win the snail race?

It is possible that the late equalizer against Gladbach the previous week was a blow from which Werder will not recover.

Because the extra two points would have meant that they would have moved past the Augsburgs and Heidenheims of this world. They might even have been able to put Freiburg under pressure.

The problem is that it will be difficult for Werder Bremen to pick up three points against RB Leipzig. In a total of 13 Bundesliga games, there have only been two wins – both in front of a home crowd.

If the other teams in the race for international business lose out again, all will be well. But at the moment, it looks like they have missed a great opportunity in terms of Europe

RBL can play freely

For Marco Rose and his team, there is nothing left to play for in sporting terms. Qualification for the Champions League is already secured.

There should be nothing more to play for at the bottom. And even if they do? Thanks to the CL reform, whether they finish fourth or fifth next season is practically irrelevant.

The decisive factor will be that they maintain their good form and give the fans another conciliatory finish.

The Saxons have not lost at home since February (5S, 1U). They have also kept a clean sheet in five of their last six home games

When facing Leipzig, the Hanseatic side have rarely been able to get anything going since the home side were promoted to the Bundesliga.

They have only managed two draws and two wins in the 13 meetings. However, one of the draws came in the first leg

SVW earned this one back then with a courageous performance on the Weser. They will need to build on that if they want to pick up their first points in the trade fair city.

To do so, however, the defense must be strengthened. Werder Bremen have conceded over 1.5 goals in each of their six away games in Leipzig.

My RB Leipzig Bremen tip:

I don’t think Ole Werner and his team will unpack the cement mixer and brick up their own goal. That’s simply not their style of play.

They’ll have their moments in offense again, but I doubt that Ducksch & Co. will be able to compensate for the mistakes in the sometimes patchy defense.

Therefore, my RB Leipzig Werder Bremen tip is: RBL wins and over 3.5 goals!
