Gladbach – Frankfurt betting tip, prediction & odds 11.05.2024

Borussia Mönchengladbach – Eintracht Frankfurt betting tip

It may not be obvious at first glance, but Borussia Mönchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt are set for a tangible crisis duel on the 33rd Bundesliga matchday.

Borussia are fighting to avoid relegation and SGE are limping towards the Europa League. In my Gladbach Frankfurt betting tip, the focus is on the respective defenses.

Both teams have only been able to keep their heads above water in exceptional cases recently, so the bet on “Over 2.5 goals” is a good bet.

Incidentally, the curious note of the match should not be neglected:

Although only SV Darmstadt have collected fewer points (7) than the Foals (13) in the second half of the season so far, BMG are likely to stay in the top flight in the end – mainly thanks to their weak rivals.

The same applies to Eintracht Frankfurt. They managed just four wins in the second half of the season, but their lead over seventh place has grown from two points (matchday 17) to four points now.

You have to copy the Hessians to do that. You should therefore take the table with a grain of salt.

It should be clear in my Gladbach Frankfurt prediction that two out-of-form and defensively weak teams who are longing for the end of the season will meet. Concentrated defensive work is simply out of the question

The predictions of the betting providers?

As far as the favorites are concerned, the sports betting providers have already gone on summer vacation.

With an average of 2.50, Mönchengladbach are slightly favored to win the match. However, the odds for a Frankfurt away win are at a comparable level at around 2.60.

It is interesting to note that the draw odds are not clearly below average despite the balanced odds situation.

At 3.65, the bookmakers are going out on a limb. And so the draw would be my bet of choice for a 1×2 bet without hesitation

Analysis: Gladbach vs Frankfurt

At the middle of the season in the extended circle of European Cup aspirants. At the end of the season in the extended circle of relegation candidates.

Hardly anyone is likely to be satisfied with Gladbach Borussia’s development since the start of the year, especially as there is no improvement in sight. In the last ten competitive matches, the foals have only managed one win.

What is particularly noticeable is the preference for wild game sequences. In five of Gladbach’s last six games alone, the bet “Over 2.5 goals” would have led to success.

In addition, both teams have scored in four of the last five games. As they have also conceded at least two goals in each of their last four games, you could consider the bet “Frankfurt over 1.5 goals”.

If Gladbach concede more than one goal, strong odds of around 2.00 are due. Overall, Gladbach’s big problem is their defense. Before the 33rd matchday, they have conceded 62 goals. Only relegated Darmstadt are worse with 76 goals conceded

It is doubtful, however, that Eintracht Frankfurt will be able to convert this Gladbach weakness into points on Saturday. The Hessians are currently not very good at scoring points.

They have lost three of their last four games. Most recently, they were beaten 5-1 at home by new champions Leverkusen.

In any case, they have not conceded a single goal in their last five games. However, as they have scored in four of their five games, the “Both teams to score” bet is a good one for the game in Gladbach.

The odds are listed at around 1.50 and are still playable as a single bet. It is likely that SGE will come out on top in the snail race for sixth place.

However, with a record of four wins, six draws and five defeats in the second half of the season, they are by no means a European Cup contender

Quota analysis

The fact that top bookmakers such as Sunmaker expect a rather high-scoring clash between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt is of course no surprise given the statistics already shown.

Even the “over 3.5 goals” only manages odds of around 2.50, but offers sufficient value due to the starting position.

Overall, the impression is growing that BMG and SGE are having a wild exchange of blows without one team having a fundamental advantage.

Accordingly, the “draw at half-time” is becoming the focus of attention. The odds of around 2.30 are surprisingly high and are undoubtedly one of the best betting alternatives for the match

No statistical bright spots!

If you take a look at the respective home and away statistics, you’ll quickly realize: Gladbach are weak at home and Frankfurt are no away power.

In fact, Borussia have collected just five home wins so far this season and are 14th in the home table with 20 points.

SGE has four away wins and 17 points. These statistics also literally scream for a draw, which would bring strong odds of 12.0 in the event of a 2-2 draw

Lots of goals and BMG problems

The direct comparison tops off the statistical analysis, so to speak.

The head-to-head record also paints an extremely balanced picture. After 108 matches, Gladbach have won 38 and Frankfurt 40.

In the first half of the season, the Hessians narrowly held the upper hand. Frankfurt narrowly won 2:1 in front of their home crowd

It is striking that the two teams have not held back from scoring goals in their head-to-head duels in the recent past.

Both teams have scored in ten of the past eleven Bundesliga duels. The 2.5-goal mark has also been broken in seven of the last nine matches.

It is therefore fitting that the most recent encounter at Borussia-Park was by no means boring and went to Frankfurt 3:1.

In general, Borussia have not necessarily been one of Eintracht’s most feared opponents in recent years. None of the last five games have been lost. They have collected 11 out of a possible 15 points.

Gladbach’s last win dates back to the 2020/21 season. BMG won 4:0 at home, but lost the following two home games.

The “Double Chance X2” at odds of just under 1.60 is therefore a solid betting option

My Gladbach Frankfurt tip:

There is no clear favorite. The respective form problems also provide a pinch of unpredictability.

I would be reluctant to place a 1×2 bet on Gladbach v Frankfurt – and that’s why I’m not doing it.

After all, the better option is to target a high-scoring clash in which the actual outcome of the match is irrelevant.

This is my Gladbach Frankfurt betting tip: There will be over 2.5 goals in the match
