A few hours before the end of the summer transfer window, Bayer 04 Leverkusen have brought the impasse around Moussa Diaby to a successful end. The 27-year-old winger joins the Werkself from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad and has signed a five-year contract. For the Frenchman, it is a return to his old stomping ground, Diaby already made 173 appearances under the Bayer Cross between 2019 and 2023 (49 goals, 48 assists) before moving to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
