Tennis today – Matches from 02.09.
It’s been a few minutes since Zverev made a name for himself in the morning hours qualified for the second round with a bang – already I’m rolling in my next cartload of US Open tips for you today.
This time we deal with the first second-round games of the tournament, where I was able to share my expert knowledge and my impressions from the first days of competition in the best possible way.
Tennis tips today – 02.09.2026: Several games will be made up!
In combination with my tennis tips today, you will once again have the Opportunity to benefit from the best odds boosts available and to upgrade your tennis bets considerably.
There are plenty of opportunities for this, because due to yesterday’s rain on the outdoor courts, some of the games made up today.
The highlight of the evening is the final act: Faria against Alcaraz. After all, everyone wants to see if the defending champions can win after their long break is able to continue his promising first-round performance seamlessly.
US Open Tips today 02.09.: Faria – Alcaraz (02:30)
Faria brings a lot of power to the first serve, but the athleticism and the Spaniard’s variable transition play from the baseline on this but absolutely nothing to oppose the level.
As soon as Alcaraz gets into the rallies and the pace picks up, the Portuguese stumble over their own error rate. His 14 Double faults (!) in the opening match against Brooksby are not possible at all!
In addition, the Spaniard’s comeback after a break of several months was clear Better than expected!
My tip: Carlos again without losing a set!
US Open betting tonight: Medvedev – Gorzny (17:00)
I took a closer look at Gorzny’s opening victory: The 22-year-old US boy worked a whopping 238 minutes in the 1st round to get Raphael Collignon in five sets. Over four hours of backbreaking work however, they leave traces.
Against Medvedev’s gruelling baseline wall from the underground car park, all it takes is the battery probably won’t last long. The Russian defeated Hugo Gaston in round 1 (3:0), served strongly and showed in the the rally was very good timing!
Gorzny, with his many double faults, is under Medvedev’s return pressure inevitably give in.
My tip: Medvedev makes short work of the underdog!
US Open today: Merida Aguillar – Rublev (17:00)
Merida Aguilar is on cloud nine. The 21-year-old Spaniard traveled after he recently reached the quarterfinals in Montreal with a huge self-confidence in his luggage to Flushing Meadows, where he promptly lost in round 1 Marton Fucsovics without losing a set.
Rublev, on the other hand, wobbles tremendously. In round 1, the Russian prevented Otto Virtanen after 0:2 set deficit in the nail-biting tiebreak of the fifth set just like that, the fiasco.
His nerves are noticeably raw and his second serve is under Continuous pressure not stable enough! When the Spaniard Rublev’s anger phases and keeps the rallies flat, he should quickly get the match into his Direction!
My tip: Too many things can go wrong with Rublev!
US Open prediction today: Munar – Rinderknech (19:00)
In a direct comparison, the score is 1-1 – the Frenchman took the Match in Metz in September 2022, but the last hard court duel in Miami grabbed Munar last year in straight sets.
On the cement in New York, however, the omens are shifting again Towards Rinderknech. The Frenchman makes his first serve constantly into the field and uses the fast surface to immediately reach the net .
Munar already had to go over the full game in round 1 against Atmane Going five-set distance and leaving a lot of grain. As soon as beef knuckle over his serve takes over the dictation, the Spaniard is missing from the defensive the penetration to turn the rallies on cement.
My tip: beef knuckle with more variability and power!
US Open betting today 02.09.: Nakashima – Michelsen (20:30)
US duel in Flushing Meadows! Nakashima is currently burning ablaze – he has shaken up Cincinnati and defeated Sebastian Baez in round 1 6-2, 6-1, 6-0 simply demolished. Michelsen, on the other hand, wobbled tremendously at the start and sprinkled in 8 double faults.
Nakashima is currently hitting the ground like a robot and leaving its own Service nothing at all. Michelsen has a reach, but has a meager record against players from the top 20 and falls under Nakashima’s pace from the baseline immediately into the defensive.
My tip: Nakashima continues thanks to the massive momentum!
US Open tips tonight: Etcheverry – Fernley (6:10 p.m.)
Etcheverry has much more experience in the field of Main draw of Grand Slams, puts itself under constant pressure on hard court but again and again sags on his own serve …
My prediction for the Briton’s tactics: Fearnley is extremely aggressive the return, takes the ball early in the rising phase and sets Etcheverrys long swinging movement from the baseline immediately under pressure.
When Fearnley keeps the tempo high and makes the rallies short, the Argentine’s rhythm burns off. That smells like a cramped Movement festival in which the Briton has the momentum on his side.
My tip: Four, but also five sentences are quite Probably!
