VfL Bochum have signed Leon Sawas to a professional contract. The 19-year-old had moved from the youth of SC Freiburg to Castroper Straße before the season and even played for the first team in the DFB Cup at SpVgg Greuther Fürth (2-1). The defender has also been in the squad three times in the 2nd Bundesliga – but is still unused.
