1. FC Saarbrücken is turning its squad upside down with a view to the upcoming third division season. Numerous new signings have already arrived, and there is currently even an “overhang” in the offensive, as sporting director Markus Thiele describes it in the “Saarbrücker Zeitung”. The veterans Patrick Schmidt (32) and Dominic Baumann (31) are considered farewell candidates. Both played in 22 third division games each last season, Schmidt scored twice, Baumann once.
