In the last season, Thiago Almada was loaned to Olympique Lyon by Botafogo, who bought him from Atlanta United a year ago for around €20 million (Botafogo and Lyon are owned by the same owner). He played 16 games in Ligue 1 for the French club (scoring one goal). Now Atletico Madrid are said to be interested in the Argentine, and according to “Marca,” the 24-year-old has already agreed to move to the Spanish capital.
