Tom Bischof is set to make his debut for Hoffenheim in the 2024/25 season, and it didn’t take long for him to get noticed. Bayern Munich immediately snapped him up, and he will now play for them from the 2025/26 season onwards.

The TSG had already noticed the super talent at the age of seven and was able to bring him into its youth academy. Bischof played for all the teams there and soon had the opportunity to make his professional debut.
Tom Bischof’s career began on March 19, 2022, when he came on as a substitute in a 0-3 defeat to Hertha BSC. This is a record, as of December 2024, Bischof is the youngest player ever to play for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.
He was 16 years and 263 days old at the time. This makes Bischof the youngest player in TSG’s club history, with only Youssoufa Moukoko and Paul Wanner ahead of him in Bundesliga history.

However, Bischof struggled in the following two seasons. He made only four more Bundesliga appearances after setting the club record. It wasn’t until the start of the 2024/25 season that his time came.
He missed the first few games through injury before really getting going. The next milestone came in a 4-3 win against RB Leipzig, when Tom Bischof finally scored his first Bundesliga goal!
He has now secured a place in the TSG starting line-up. He prefers to play in central or attacking midfield, but his versatility also allows him to play in defensive positions, such as the “eight.”

Tom Bischof naturally wants to become a mainstay for the German national team. He has played for the U16 and U20 teams so far, proving himself to be a prolific goalscorer with 15 goals in 35 games.
Only games and goals up to the U19 level are included here, as Bischof is still playing for the U20 team. The midfielder had a very special time in the summer of 2022.
He was part of the U17 squad that impressed at the 2022 European Championship. He played in all four games before the quarter-final against France, which unfortunately marked the end of the road.
In 2024, Tom Bischof received one of the most important awards of his still young career: he was awarded the Fritz Walter Medal in gold for the U19 category.

In June 2025, the next DFB highlight in Tom Bischof’s still young career came when he was called up by national coach Julian Nagelsmann for the first time for the senior national team for the Nations League Final Four.
Bischof did not play in the semi-final defeat against Portugal (1-2). He came on as a substitute in the 65th minute of the third-place play-off against France (0-2), making his debut for the senior national team.

Tom Bischof’s contract in Hoffenheim ran until June 2025 – and the youngster has decided not to extend it, opting instead to join Bayern Munich on a free transfer.
It was not an easy decision for him to leave. Bischof said goodbye publicly on Instagram with these words: “TSG has been my home since I was 10 years old. Here I was able to grow, learn, dream – and realize my dream of becoming a professional footballer.”
Bischof’s Bayern contract runs from 2025 to the end of June 2029. How much does Tom Bischof earn at FC Bayern?
Bischof is said to have received a high seven-figure sum for signing with the German record champions. This sum is not included in Bischof’s salary.
Tom Bischof’s annual salary at FC Bayern is said to be around €300,000. This makes the youngster one of the lowest earners in the Bayern squad. The top earners are star striker Harry Kane and playmaker Jamal Musiala, who earn around €25 million a year.
However, Bischof’s salary has doubled with the move to Bayern. At Hoffenheim, he earned around €150,000 per year.
