Tennis today – Matches from 27.08.
The US Open is about to start the main round and in my tennis tips today I will go through the last qualifying matches with you, in which some promising tennis bets can be made at bookmakers.
As usual, I have prepared six carefully selected encounters. Jurij Rodionov made it into my selection for the third time, as I had already predicted his matches against Coppejans and Ferreira Silva.
Tennis tips today – 27.08.2026: Qualifying matches in US Open!
Before you can benefit from increased odds, we have to make it to the main round. Because only with the start of the 1st round do bookmakers really upgrade the betting offers of selected games.
In the meantime, I have taken a closer look at six games for you, in which only one win bet is possible in each case, but with a little luck you can still get a nice sum in the end.
If you combine my six tennis tips today, you can rake in a truly lavish profit yourself by means of a free bet and a combination odd of 37.12.
US Open Tips today 27.08.: Dougaz – Guerrieri (17:00)
This is the direct duel for the coveted ticket to the main draw. On the fast US Open courts, Dougaz, as a left-hander, simply brings too much free point gain with his powerful forehand and service in my opinion to fail at this task.
Although Guerrieri showed a lot of taker qualities yesterday in the 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 against Schwärzler, Dougaz was extremely solid on the serve (73% points won over the 1st serve against Jacquet).
In my opinion, the Tunisian will enter the main draw for the first time today thanks to his “power tennis” in two close sets …
My tip: Dougaz currently has a top 50 markup!
US Open betting tonight: Fearnley – Rodionov (17:00)
And that brings us to the already mentioned Rodionov! The Austrian has done his homework on cement so far and shone in the first two rounds above all with strong service – he has already served a proud 14 aces in his two qualifying matches on the US Open courts.
However, Fearnley, with his stable backhand and a 1st serve-win value of a whopping 80%, allowed extremely little in the qualifiers.
The British youngster currently looks a bit more eleven in the long rallies, hits fewer double faults overall and keeps his nerve in the decisive rallies. In a close fight, Fearnley unfortunately prevails narrowly, but deservedly.
My tip: Fearnley is currently the more complete of the two players!
US Open today: Gaubas – Wendelken (17:00)
This is a real contrast duel for a place in the main draw! The Lithuanian youngster Gaubas is ranked 120th in the world on paper. although the favorite against Wendelken (196th place), he hardly played on fast cement this year before the qualifiers.
Nevertheless, he marched extremely efficiently through the first rounds and won a strong 81% of the points against Cecchinato via the 1st serve. Gaubas looks fresh and hardly lets anything burn at the moment with his own service.
Wendelken, on the other hand, is the much more experienced hardcourt specialist (21 wins in 2026 on hard court), but has already left a lot of energy after two energy-sapping three-set marathons against Travaglia and Bertola.
My tip: Gaubas currently has a little more on his plate!
US Open prediction today: Samuel – Garin (18:30)
This is where fiery momentum meets serene routine. Samuel feels extremely comfortable on fast cement, serves excellently this year and goes into the match with a lot of self-confidence.
However, Garin showed in the two-set win against Ymer that his baseline game is stable in time for the qualifying final round.
The Chilean is rarely without a chance even against higher-class opponents and also has the necessary tools to crack Samuel’s service with over 50% returns won on the opponent’s 2nd serve.
This will be an intense exchange of blows, in which Garín’s experience in the decisive rallies can make the difference.
My tip: Garin with a good chance of a surprise!
US Open betting today 27.08.: Gea – Basavareddy (18:30)
Arthur Gea is quite rightly the favorite for the New York seats. The Frenchman is close to his career high at 86th place and has an outstanding hard court record in 2026.
Although Basavareddy brings dangerous weapons from the baseline with his tight forehand, he repeatedly sprinkles in wobbles such as his average of 4 double faults per match on his own serve.
Gea simply serves more solidly on their own service (won 73% of the first service points in qualifying) and uses breaks brutally efficiently. The Frenchman closes the bag in the decisive round without much effort!
My tip: Gea doesn’t let anything burn at all!
US Open tips tonight: Mochizuki – Passaro (6:30 p.m.)
A duel with a certain potential for surprises! Shintaro Mochizuki is just the bookmakers’ favourite on the hard courts, as his flat, nimble game fits perfectly with the fast cement in New York.
However, Francesco Passaro is an uncomfortable chunk who could pull the tooth of the Japanese three years ago in the smooth two-set victory in Tenerife on hard court.
While Passaro defends extremely tenaciously from the baseline, Mochizuki tends to make a slightly too high error rate under pressure, which he cannot afford against a patient player like the Italian.
My tip: The Italian has more variation in his strokes!
