After a year in the Championship, promoted Leicester City are looking to claw their way back into the Premier League – and are relying on experience to do so. After 37-year-old Jamie Vardy, Jannik Vestergaard (31) is the next experienced player to sign a contract extension until 2027. The long-serving Bundesliga professional (185 games for Hoffenheim, Gladbach and Bremen) played 42 of the Foxes’ 44 Championship games last season, making him one of the mainstays of future Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca.
