Securing second place, somehow keeping an eye on the top – that’s all Arsenal can do in the Premier League title race! Home games are therefore an absolute must, including the one on Saturday.
Since the opponent unfortunately doesn’t get going at all away from home, the role of favorite clearly goes to the hosts. In my Arsenal Aston Villa betting tip, I will therefore tell you exactly what motivated me to bet on the “double chance 1X” with a maximum of three goals!
Four points behind, but having played one more game – that is the situation Arsenal are facing. Liverpool are quite a way off, so the Gunners should secure second place for now.
Since the beginning of November, there have been no more defeats, and only two defeats have been conceded anyway. No points were awarded in Newcastle and Bournemouth, and in general the team much prefers to play at home.
5-4-2? They still have some catching up to do away from home. It’s a good thing that there’s another home game coming up this weekend, with seven wins and three draws, not much can go wrong here.
Of course, to really put Liverpool in danger, it would be advisable to start a real winning streak. Twice this season, the Londoners have won three times in a row, but they haven’t been able to do more than that.

With four wins and a draw, their recent performances at the Emirates Stadium actually look quite good. However, it is not always the case that the team completes its tasks confidently.
2-1 against Tottenham (an own goal), 1-0 against the relegation candidates from Ipswich, 0-0 against Everton, and most recently the Gunners struggled more than expected. So I count two own goals from the last three home games, there is definitely more to come here.
For 19 games, for example, there has always been a winner, you won’t find a draw. Two wins Villa, four Arsenal, three Villa, seven Arsenal? Most recently, both teams always collected their successes in small or large series!
In this respect, it shouldn’t be that easy for our tax-free betting providers to decide on a favorite, should it? In fact, it was really easy for them, because Arsenal can’t be beaten at home.
With values of just under 1.50 and 6.50, both teams go into the game, which of course does not give the guests a particularly good chance of winning. Aston Villa, the team that has already won four times in the premier class, is having a much harder time in the domestic competition.
The only time they managed to win three in a row was in late summer. It would take until 2025 for them to get back to winning two in a row, with 2-1 victories over Leicester and 1-0 wins over Everton.
Not surprisingly, seven of the ten wins were decided by a single goal. On the road, the visitors got off to a strong start with three wins and a draw, but have since slumped.
0-3 against Newcastle, 1-2 in Nottingham, 0-3 against Chelsea, 0-2 in Liverpool and 1-4 against Tottenham? Before they managed the narrow victory at Everton, they were really struggling.
Since Everton are just above the line, I wouldn’t rate this victory too highly. Incidentally, it was also the first time that Aston Villa had escaped without conceding a goal away from home.
Can Arsenal actually put a little pressure on Liverpool? The Gunners are under pressure to act in any case, so it’s a good thing that they haven’t yet lost at home.
Aston Villa have not made a particularly strong impression on me away from home in recent months. They have lost five times in a row, some of them very clearly, but the most recent 1-0 win against Everton will not have solved all their problems.
In this respect, I am betting on the “double chance 1X” because, after all, the Emirates is a real fortress. Since Arsenal also have the best defense at home, I have decided on the following bet:
Arsenal scores with a maximum of three goals!
