Addo, Otto
– Ghana
He was only brought in as a hopeful in the spring – just a few months later, Otto Addo is probably facing the end as Ghana’s national coach again. His team lost 1:2 to Niger on Monday, missing out on qualification for the Africa Cup 2025. Ghana finished last in qualifying Group F behind Angola, Sudan and Niger. A video recording shows the former Dortmund scout frantically discussing with a journalist on Monday after the press conference following the defeat against Niger. The journalist had previously accused him of being more of a scout than a good coach. Ghana’s World Cup qualifiers begin in March and Addo’s contract runs until the end of 2026.
