Beating the “Bees” at home won’t be easy! But on the way to the longed-for Premier League title in 2024/25, the current league leaders should be able to handle this task better!
However, I’m not so sure whether I personally would readily agree to an away win bet given the somewhat low Brentford Liverpool odds.
My prediction for this game is primarily about scouring the bookmakers’ betting offers for the supposedly best and most lucrative Brentford Liverpool tip. I found what I was looking for at a very good betting provider with a German license.
Brentford are preparing for another tough task when they host the league leaders from Liverpool on Saturday. The Bees’ form curve clearly speaks against them at first glance, as they have now only won one of their last eight competitive games.
In their last home game against Manchester City, it even looked like another defeat for a long time, when they were seemingly beaten 0-2 until shortly before the end.
Because an impressive comeback, by no means unusual at home, by the Londoners secured them a last-minute point after all, after they scored the 2-2 equalizer in the 92nd minute.
This shows that the team never gives up and should not be written off at the Brentford Community Stadium.
However, the Londoners have not won in their last four home games – a record that is not at all usual in this part of the English capital (1 draw, 3 defeats).
By comparison, in their first ten home games of the season, they managed nine wins and one draw!
It is clear that Brentford have underperformed at home. A quick goal against Liverpool, meanwhile, would certainly do the nerves of coach Thomas Frank good. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that they will be on the road to victory.
That’s because no team has lost more Premier League games after taking the lead this season than the Bees. They have led 1-0 a total of five times only to lose the game in the end.
On the other hand, the LFC also had to fight hard for its point last matchday. In the away game against Nottingham Forest, they found themselves trailing, but managed to equalize in the second half (1-1).
The slight lulls in the game against the “Garibaldi Reds” revealed to me that Liverpool are not exactly in top form at the moment either, although they are still one of the best teams in the league!
Let that sink in: manager Arne Slot has only won one of his four matches so far in 2025, which contrasts with the impressive 40 wins, nine draws and only one defeat in the whole of 2024.
That’s why I’m struggling with the Brentford Liverpool odds of just 1.50 on average for an away win, as offered by almost all sports betting providers.
In their last eight home games against Liverpool, both teams have always scored at least one goal. Fittingly, the “Both Score” selection on the Bet365 app is currently offering strong odds of 1.50.
What’s more, the Bees have scored a whopping 16 goals in the first half this season – the best record in the Premier League. With Brentford hitting the back of the net in the first half priced at 2.20, that could be an equally clever choice.
Brentford Liverpool odds thus offer several exciting options, of which I would avoid a pure away win bet on LFC.
Liverpool are favorites, but Brentford have proven that they give their all at home and can take an early lead.
This could put the league leaders in a tricky position that I’m not 100% sure they would be able to handle in their current form. A possible 1-1 draw is already clearly visible in my mind’s eye.
By the way: Use the Merkur Bets welcome bonus to place your bets with a little extra capital.
Maybe you could go for a minimally aggressive combo bet on “both score” and “Brentford score in the first half” – that could certainly be really worthwhile! Especially if the bookmaker bears some of the betting risk!
Conclusion: I consider a comfortable start-finish victory for Liverpool to be unlikely.
The “Reds” have had a bumpy start to the new year and face a Brentford team that has just secured a draw against the defending champions.
Don’t forget: the Bees have picked up an impressive 23 of their 28 points at home and proved against the Citizens that they can come back from 2-0 down.
My Brentford Liverpool tip: Double chance X2 & Both teams to score.
