Eintracht Frankfurt – RB Leipzig betting tip
The Bundesliga is coming to an end and the last matchday is traditionally a changeable one. Even if Frankfurt and RB Leipzig are facing each other.
Sixth in the table meets fourth and not much is likely to happen. The visitors already secured their place the previous week.
And yet they can and certainly want to extend their unbeaten run of eleven competitive matches (7S, 4U).
On the other side, we have Eintracht, for whom this will be an important game for two reasons. They need at least one point to maintain sixth place on their own.
Ideally, this will be enough for the Champions League next year if BVB win the final. Sebastian Rode and Makoto Hasebe will also be playing their last professional game.
Overall, however, my Frankfurt Leipzig tip is for a relaxed summer match in which not many goals are likely to be scored
The prediction of the bookmakers?
Looking at the table alone, the two clubs are separated by just two places, but almost 20 points. And yet the bookmakers are predicting an open match.
Thus, the bookmakers at Intertops cannot predict a clear favorite for the Frankfurt RB Leipzig betting tip. The Saxons are certainly slightly favored due to their form
Analysis: Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig
But last week showed that it’s not just 90 percent that works in this Bundesliga. The Messestadt side struggled against Werder Bremen.
When they went into the break 1-0 down, especially in front of a home crowd, coach Marco Rose wanted to see a different face from his team.
RBL turned up the heat in the second half, especially in the person of Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian scored with a direct shot and probably deserved his starting eleven
Nothing more than a 1:1 draw was possible for SGE on the penultimate matchday. The game in Mönchengladbach was more reminiscent of a tired summer kickabout than a soccer festival.
But that fits in with their recent form: the Main team have only won one of their last eight games (3U, 4N). The race for Europe is more of a walk in the park
Odds analysis
However, it is unlikely to be a walk in the park for the Saxons on the Main. SGE have never lost to RBL at home in the Bundesliga (3S, 4U).
However, the big question will be how much risk coach Dino Toppmöller is prepared to take. There has been little esprit to be seen in the offense recently.
Only Darmstadt (6) have scored fewer goals than Eintracht (8) in the last eight games. So the goal predictions are not surprising.
Before kick-off, Tipwin Sportwetten has odds of around 1.70 if the hosts score less than 1.5 goals
Will RBL break the Frankfurt curse?
Leipzig are still without an away win against any club in the current Bundesliga – except Frankfurt.
But their general form clearly speaks in their favor. They have been unbeaten in ten league games (7S, 3U). Only in February 2023 were they able to go on a longer run of 12 matches (8S, 4U).
A win at the weekend on the Main would also mean that the Messestadt side would equal their previous record of 67 points.
However, they still have to focus on their defense: They have conceded at least one goal in each of their 13 away games to date.
Frankfurt with a special game
When it comes to the end of a season, it’s usually also the end of a career. This will be the case for Sebastian Rode and Makoto Hasebe on Saturday afternoon.
Both professionals are likely to get their minutes at the weekend, although Rode will probably only get a brief outing.
Perhaps their colleagues will pull themselves together once again and give their long-serving mainstays a worthy send-off. They certainly have comeback qualities.
Eintracht Frankfurt have already picked up 18 points after falling behind. The 1:1 draw against Gladbach was the tenth game in which they came back (4S, 6U)
The last meeting between the two teams at the start of the year was not only the 15th head-to-head clash, but also the only one so far in which the away team won.
SGE claimed a flattering 1-0 victory at the time. In terms of chances, they created relatively little to nothing
In attack, the Saxons will now hope to make better use of their chances than in the first leg.
Benjamin Sesko is likely to be a factor. The Slovenian has scored in each of his last six Bundesliga games. Only Timo Werner has scored more in a row (7).
My Frankfurt Leipzig tip:
Whether with Sesko in the starting eleven or with him coming off the bench: I rate the visitors as the team with the better game plan.
SGE are more likely to come through mentality. They won’t offer much in terms of play and will try to keep a clean sheet for a long time. This will result in a tough game.
My Frankfurt RB Leipzig betting tip is therefore: There will be less than 3.5 goals
