The contract negotiations between Ibrahima Konaté and Liverpool FC have been dragging on like chewing gum for a long time. “We’ve been in talks for a long time and we’re close to an agreement,” said the defender after the win against Everton. “We’re on the right track. There’s certainly a good chance that I’ll be here next season,” the Frenchman continued. The 26-year-old has been wearing the Reds jersey since 2021 and his current contract expires this summer.
