Fenerbahce have four more chances to put pressure on Galatasaray and reduce the current four-point deficit – and there’s a big derby in the middle of it all!
The electrifying title fight in Turkey is entering the next round and the Canaries have to win everything. On Monday, they travel to a relegation candidate and, of course, the role of favorites is accordingly. In my Konyaspor Fenerbahce betting tip, I’ll tell you why I’m backing an offensive “Over 2.5 goals”
One team leads, the other follows suit – maybe! Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have been in a lonely neck-and-neck race at the top for months and have distanced themselves from the competition by worlds.
Only one question remains unanswered, namely who will ultimately become champions. Fenerbahce are in the ungrateful position of not only having to make up ground, but also knowing that they have fallen behind
It is almost unbelievable that a team with 28 wins, five draws and just one defeat is not in first place, and the 89 goals scored do not seem to be enough.
After equalizing on a last-second penalty against Sivasspor, the disappointment was great, but the following 2:1 in the derby against Besiktas appeased the fans again
I wasn’t surprised to concede a goal again. Fener have failed to score in nine of their last ten games, conceding twice on four occasions. However, the slight defensive weaknesses can usually be compensated for well.

They have won 15 times and drawn twice, so it’s no wonder that their opponents are getting scared. They only won between mid-November and the end of April, before the bitter 2:2 draw against Sivasspor
It’s been more than three months since the team scored less than two goals away from home, which also speaks for my bet of “Over 2.5 goals” on Monday. Fener will have to do without one player in Konya, however, as Ismail Yüksel is out due to a torn ligament.
Will it still be similar to the first half of the season? Then they swept aside their opponents 7-1, their biggest win of the season. The two teams have met 48 times, but the interesting thing is that they have only drawn THREE times!
Fenerbahce have lost three of their last four games in Konya, which is very surprising. But it doesn’t change the fact that our bookmakers have picked a clear favorite.
The odds of 1.40 to 7.20 are on the visitors, a very clear advantage. Konyaspor urgently need points to avoid relegation and their lead over the dangerous zone is minimal.
34 goals? Only bottom club Istanbulspor have scored fewer. The fact that twelve of the last 15 games have had fewer than 2.5 goals does not fit in with my betting recommendation at first glance, of course:
Much more important for me, however, is the fact that in the two matches against Fenerbahce and Galatasaray so far, a whopping ten goals have been conceded, plus another five against Besiktas and Trabzonspor.
So Konyaspor have little to show for their efforts against the strong teams, and even their own stadium is only of limited help with five wins. For the first time since the autumn, the Whites have now failed to win three in a row at home
Fenerbahce are of course aware that Galatasaray have the better chances in the title race. However, they have not yet lost sight of their ultimate goal and are playing extremely well away from home.
Offensively, nobody can fool the Canaries; for weeks, or rather months, they have consistently scored at least twice. Something Konyaspor cannot keep up with at all, the attack is very weak here.
However, as they like playing against Fenerbahce at home (three wins from the last four home games), the Whites will certainly try everything. Therefore, I believe in a lively game and bet:
