Falko Michel has now extended his contract with 1. In May, the 25-year-old midfielder was bid farewell due to his working paper, which was still expiring at that time. Michel joined FCM from Borussia Dortmund II in 2024 and made 52 second division appearances (one goal) for them. Sporting director Peer Jaekel explains: “With his agility, his versatility and his footballing qualities, he is an important cornerstone of our team.” Michel says: “I feel very comfortable in the city and at the club and feel the trust of the coaching team.”
