The relegation round is not going to be called in a few weeks! The Swiss serial champion staggers and staggers, and the new year has not yet brought the desired results. In Bern, the question remains as to whether and when the knot will burst.
On Wednesday, for the first time this season, they have the chance to win two games in a row, which is hard to believe. In my Young Boys Yverdon betting tip, I’ll tell you why I think defensively and say: whoever wins, this game is not likely to see more than three goals!
Seven wins, seven draws, seven defeats, 27:30 goals? It’s hard to believe that after 21 rounds, Young Boys Bern are where they are in this mediocre record.
The yellow and blacks have the “luck” of being only ten points behind the top team, because no one else has more than eleven wins in the Super League. Well, Bern has only lost one of the last ten games, which is a cautious step in the right direction.
There’s no question about it, the Young Boys are in much better form at home despite the crisis. After five wins in a row (three times 2-1, once 3-1 and 3-2), the series was interrupted in the last home game; against Winterthur, they had to be satisfied with a 0-0 draw.
Nevertheless, while they may not have won, it was the first time ever that Bern kept a clean sheet at home. Incidentally, in ten of the last 16 games, the score was 0-0 after 45 minutes, but only three times was it still 0-0 after the full 90.
At the same time, we can see that the defending champions have only gone into the locker room with a lead twice at home, five times it was a draw and four times a 1-1. That should give you one or two betting options!
After a successful Betano registration, we would have the option, for example, of betting on “double chance X2” after half-time one. A rate of 2.07 is possible, which doesn’t sound too bad.
If you go straight for a draw, the value increases slightly to 2.62. At the same time, however, I have to say that Yverdon has scored exactly one goal before half-time in the last ten rounds.
As a result, a 0-0 draw might be the most likely outcome, for which Betano offers odds of 3.65. It is only since a year and a half that Bern and Yverdon have been meeting each other regularly again.
Three draws and one win? The Young Boys can’t be really satisfied with this result! Nevertheless, if you take a look at the sports betting apps, you will see odds of 1.30, while the guests have an 8.25 value for themselves.
Yverdon Sport managed to end a long dry spell a few days ago. The team had not won nine games in a row, only collecting three points and scoring a measly two goals during this period.
The home game against Winterthur ended in a 3-0 win, and the fifth victory of the season was also the clearest. So are the dark days in offense now over?
Yverdon has remained completely without a goal in five away games since September, but has at least conceded a maximum of two goals in each one. The only win, a 3-2 against Lugano, was fittingly secured in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Four goals conceded in the past seven games? Although Yverdon is actually in crisis, this defensive value is really surprisingly strong.
Are the Young Boys Bern finally getting going in February? It’s pure madness that the Swiss champions have not even managed to win a game in 21 rounds.
Yverdon is certainly not a strong opponent, especially in terms of attack, the guests are among the teams that perform the least. But: the team has been defending very well for many weeks.
So I assume that on Wednesday we will see two teams that are not exactly bursting with self-confidence. That means for me: rather not bet on a shooting festival, but rather bet:
We won’t see more than three goals here!
