Despite the contract extension, Niklas Niehoff and Holstein Kiel will go their separate ways until further notice. As the second division club announced on Saturday, the 21-year-old midfielder has extended his contract with the Storks for another year, but he will play on loan for the Austrian Bundesliga club SCR Altach in the future. Niehoff was on the field for KSV a proud 27 times in the past second division season. The former DFB U-19 international sees the step to Austria “as a great opportunity to develop myself as a player”.
