The Premier League? It currently consists of two top clubs and a large group of chasers! It’s exciting on the island, and in terms of championship betting it could come down to a duel between Liverpool and Manchester City.
Behind them, everything is still wide open, with a win rate of less than 50% currently enough for third place.
In my Newcastle West Ham betting tip, I will now introduce you to two teams for whom everything is still possible and reveal why I tend to disagree with the bookies’ offensive assessment and instead bet on under 3.5 goals.
Admittedly, the 2024/25 season in the Premier League has been a bit strange so far. Liverpool FC are leading the way, with Manchester City already five points behind. This is followed by a further cushion of four points before the rivals close the gap.

In the 3-1 win, the fans were finally treated to a somewhat clearer victory, as the 1-0 and 2-1 scorelines had both been doubles. However, I have to say: The team fell behind at that 3:1, and the third goal was scored late on.

Manchester United, Ipswich and Crystal Palace were beaten, none of these teams are currently placed higher than 13th! Before the international break, they had their second clean sheet of the season, but there was still no joy in the 0-0 draw against Everton.
The Hammers had previously lost 3-0 to Nottingham, the first time they had failed to score twice in a row. At the same time, however, there has never been a “double” result.
This means: win, draw, defeat, there is a constant change here. A draw at the weekend should therefore be out of the question, so it doesn’t make good reading that the last four away games have yielded just two points.
Can Newcastle finally go on a winning streak? A number of teams currently have a good chance of finishing third, with only Liverpool showing any consistency. The Magpies must become stronger offensively in particular.
West Ham are an opponent who don’t really know where they stand. The Hammers failed to score twice in a row before the break, they are winless away from home in four games and have only scored three times in that period.
For me, this means that the high-scoring duels of the recent past are over for the time being. Neither team currently gives me the impression that there could be a spectacle on Monday. Therefore, my tip is:
The 3.5 goals will not be surpassed!
